The heart and soul of the Pond Series, ‘Black Thursday’ Sauvignon Blanc has consistently delivered a wine of outstanding value and quality. It derives its name from the Black Thursday bushfire in 1991 when the vineyard saved our local township.
Black Thursday was launched in 1996 and has quickly become Chain of Ponds biggest selling wine. The Adelaide Hills Wine Region is indisputably Australia’s premium region for growing Sauvignon Blanc and for good reason. Bursting palate of tropical paw paw, guava and melon balanced by notes of passionfruit, hints of cucumber and split pea. The rounded tropical fruit palate is supported by a tight citrus acidity that gives a zesty, crisp finish. Enjoy Young!
